Different and Yet the Same – What’s changed and what hasn’t – in society, aging, science, and at Friends Village. Chiyo Moriuchi, CEO/Executive Director of Friends Village, will speak about what research says about aging, demographic and social trends and how Friends Village is meeting these challenges. For 127 years, Friends Village has borne witness to the testimony of equality by providing a loving and accessibly priced home for elderly “Friends and those in sympathy with them” - Showing that quality housing and care in older age is not just for the wealthy.
Chiyo is a member of Newtown Monthly Meeting. She grew up in Moorestown Monthly Meeting and graduated from Moorestown Friends School. She has served on the boards of the Thomas Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation, Medford Leas and George School. She earned her BA from Mount Holyoke College and both an MBA and MPH from Columbia University. Her earlier career was in international real estate and finance.
This will be a hybrid event - both in-person and on Zoom.
