IRA Charitable Rollover

Now there is a simple way to make a gift to Wrightstown Friends from your IRA.

If you are at least 70 ½ years old and subject to a minimum distribution requirement from your qualified retirement plan, there is recent legislation that allows Americans to make gifts from individual retirement accounts (IRAs) to non-profit organizations such as George School.

The deadline for this opportunity is December 31. Distributions directed to Wrightstown Friends will not be subject to federal taxes and you may contribute an amount beyond your required minimum distribution, which at this time is up to $100,000.

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) must be made directly from the custodian of your IRA to Wrightstown Friends.

If you own a non-IRA retirement account such as a 401K, or a 403B, you must first open and fund an IRA. After you take that step, your custodian can make a direct contribution from the IRA to Wrightstown Friends.

Please contact ????? for more information about this special incentive for donors with IRAs.

Please inform your IRA Custodian that IRA rollover gifts should be made payable to Wrightstown Friends and directed to our Treasurer, Lincoln Merwin, 90 Steeplechase Drive, Doylestown, PA 18901-5717.
