Join us for the first of two discussions on the topic of Parenting Your Child (Ages 5-12). In this first session, we will identify our parenting styles, and consider how each approach to parenting differs. Next month, we will investigate how specific parenting styles affect both parents and children.
As parents, we endeavor to raise our children into fully-functioning adults who can take care of themselves and make a positive contribution to society. This can sometimes be challenging! Let’s gather in this judgement-free zone to share ideas, strategies, concerns and questions with other parents and educators. We will be lead through both sessions by Michelle Hunter, MEd Special Education, who is a Licensed Behavioral Specialist and former school principal.
Doors open at 4:00 and the discussion begins at 4:30 at the Wrightstown Friends Social Hall at 535 Durham Road, Newtown. Admission is free, light refreshments will be served, and ample onsite parking is available. Questions? Email jcogs@mindspring.com
