This is a spectacular event, with lighted candles in the windows of the meetinghouse, seasonal decorations, and the melodious joy of our own voices singing traditional Christmas carols. There is also an idling fire truck in the driveway, just in case. Some sad day we'll use safe LED tea lights instead of real candles.
